Porsche Cayenne Electric, which version should you choose between Cayenne, S and Turbo?
Three versions, two body styles and up to 669 km of range. The essentials on the electric Porsche Cayenne, using Porsche's own figures, to pick the right version before taking one on subscription.

For the first time, the Cayenne comes as a fully electric car. It does not replace the petrol Cayenne or the plug-in hybrids, it sits alongside them, with three power levels and two body styles. Before choosing, here is what separates the versions, what to know about range and charging, and what the subscription covers.
What changes with the electric Cayenne?
It is built on an 800-volt electrical architecture and a 113 kWh gross battery, the same for every version. At almost 5 m long, it is 5.5 cm longer than the combustion Cayenne, and its wheelbase grows by almost 13 cm, which gives noticeably more legroom in the back.
- Adaptive air suspension as standard, on every version
- All-wheel drive, with an electric motor on each axle
- A large curved central screen, the Flow Display, and an optional passenger screen
Cayenne, S or Turbo, what are the differences?
All three versions share the same battery and all-wheel drive. They differ in power, acceleration and range.
- Cayenne Electric: 408 hp, 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 s, 230 km/h and up to 642 km of range under the WLTP standard
- Cayenne S Electric: 544 hp, 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 s, 250 km/h and up to 653 km
- Cayenne Turbo Electric: 857 hp, 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 s, 260 km/h and up to 623 km
The 1,156 hp quoted for the Turbo, which make it the most powerful production Porsche ever built, are only available for a few seconds, from a standing start with Launch Control or with the Push-to-Pass button. In normal driving, it delivers 857 hp.
The Cayenne Electric is more than enough for everyday use. The S adds a bolder look, much sharper acceleration and the longest range in the line-up. The Turbo is for those who want sports car performance in a large SUV.
What range in daily use and on the motorway?
Under the WLTP standard, the electric Cayenne covers 623 to 653 km as an SUV, and up to 669 km as the more aerodynamic S Coupé. These values are meant for comparing cars with each other. On the motorway at 130 km/h or in very cold weather, the real range is noticeably lower.
On a fast charger, it goes from 10 to 80% in under 16 minutes and adds up to 325 km in 10 minutes for the Cayenne Electric, in the best conditions. On older fast chargers running at 400 volts, it splits its battery in two to keep charging quickly.
At home, an 11 kW wallbox charges it fully in about 11 hours, in other words overnight. A 22 kW charger is offered as an option. It is also the first Porsche to offer optional wireless inductive charging, which works by simply parking over a plate on the ground.

SUV or Coupé, which one to choose?
Both share the same length, almost 5 m, and the same width, 1.98 m without the mirrors. The Coupé is 2.4 cm lower and more aerodynamic, which gives it a few extra kilometres of range.
- SUV boot: 781 litres, up to 1,588 litres with the rear seats folded
- Coupé boot: up to 1,347 litres
- For both: 90 more litres under the front bonnet
- In the back: an electrically adjustable rear bench, with three seats in the SUV and two or three in the Coupé

The SUV remains the most practical for a family, the Coupé is the most elegant and the most efficient. Both can tow up to 3.5 tonnes depending on equipment.
How do you configure your electric Cayenne?
Our electric Cayennes are new and already in stock. On the car's page, you build yours as you would in a manufacturer's configurator, but from cars that actually exist and are delivered to you within two to three weeks.
- The version: Cayenne Electric, S or Turbo
- The body: SUV or Coupé
- The colour, from Chromite Black to Algarve Blue by way of white
- The wheels, 21 or 22 inches, and the interior, from black leather to two-tone leather
With each choice, the page shows how many cars match and turns the car through 360 degrees in its real configuration, with a view of its interior. It then lists its equipment, included in the monthly payment, and its exact WLTP range.
In Luxembourg and Belgium, all three versions are available, in France the Cayenne Electric, as an SUV and as a Coupé.
Once you have chosen the car, you set the duration and the mileage to see the exact price. The car is then reserved for you, checked, registered and insured before being delivered to your home or to a dealership, with zero kilometres on the clock.
What does the subscription include?
The electric Cayenne is available for 24 to 60 months, with a package of 1,000 or 2,000 km per month. The monthly payment includes comprehensive insurance, the servicing Porsche requires, summer and winter tyres and the vehicle taxes.
Still to budget for are electricity, kilometres over the package and, depending on the country, delivery.
As a company car, an electric model is generally more tax-efficient than a combustion one, in Luxembourg, Belgium and France alike. The rules differ from one country to another, and our guide “Company car or private car: what really changes” explains them.
Electric Cayenne, hybrid or electric Macan?
If you often drive long distances without being able to charge, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid keeps a petrol engine and runs on electricity for short trips. If you prefer a more compact size, the electric Macan is built on the same technical base, only smaller.
